Electronic Fetal Monitoring
The Electronic Fetal Monitoring Simulation is a simulation developed in unity aimed to train OB/GYN residents on how to detect and treat an obstetric emergency. Learners will be posed with symptoms and information that they must interpret to define the cause, then treat accordingly . Over four sessions, learners will be introduced to this patient in the ER, and should they make the right decisions, successfully deliver the baby in the OR.
This project is a collaboration between MedStar SiTEL and the MedStar Washington Hospital Center OB/GYN Department and is currently involved in an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Grant. Once testing is complete this project will be integrated into existing OB/GYN courses and training on MedStar's LMS.
